Fresh Passport is in case your passport expired 6 months back or more.
Fill the form, print it, fill the rest of the applicable details in ink and send it.
As you are already sending your old passport along, it is not that big of a deal.

It's a bit dark and I feel like it dead-ends at the doorway. I probably would've either walked forward a bit to get some of the road that looks like it's headed uphill (which would draw the eye in that direction) or I would've moved a little to the left to get a bit more of the road into the shot and show the hanging plant a little better. Moving a bit to the left might also have brought a little more light into the shot.

My AOS was filed June 29 th and I am waiting for the recipt notice.
Now, as the AOS is filed, will it make a difference later on - filing AOS under EB2 would have got him the Green Card ealier?

hi, first, I'm not trolling. I have a genuine question and I'm looking for answers seriously. I got laid off in 2009 while on a h1b and then for one reason or another, stayed back for 8 months. My understanding was that I could have gotten a new job within 6 months and then switched over my h1b. I was foolish. My I-94 on the h1b approval letter however had an expiration date of October 2011. By the time 8 months had gone by, I decided it was time to give up hope and return to my country.
Since I've been here, my parents have started a campaign to get me a bride. Arranged marriages are part of my culture, and people marry based on how good a match it is according to one's birthchart. If I do find a USC who is willng too marry me, will it help me in any way immigration wise? Or will my 8 months out of status stay in USA chase me for the rest of my life?
Already I have answered your question. the onus is on you to prove that you are not marrying for GC or USC and your marriage is genuine. If the US consulate or USCIS becomes suspicious..they wont give your any chance...no matter what. There are cases where one married to the USC and have US born kids...still not able to get the GC and facing deportation and spending good amount time with attorney and immigration court.

It has become quite a hassle to obtain a California state driver's license or state identification card ("ID") when you are a non-immigrant such as in F, M, or J status (students, students in vocational schools, cultural exchange students). Recently Immigration Customs and Enforcement issued a fact sheet on applying for a driver's license or ID card for non immigrants in F, M or J status. My LC application (RIR PD Oct 2003) from company A is pending in P-BEC. My RIR got denied recently in Nov 06 and my company informed me that they are considering to use TR->RIR conversion to upgrade the LC to RIR. Can somebody please tell me the process of TR->RIR converion? How long it takes? Pros. and Cons. ?Any help is greatly appreciated

There have been cases reported in past on this forum where the PERM approval was lost in mail.
You should ask your employer to download the PERM approval from DOL ETA website, which should be completed and signed by both you and your employer (similar to the PERM paper approval that you did not receive).
Your lawyer should submit this form with I-140 and also request USCIS to obtain a duplicate copy of PERM approval from DOL. This may help.

I also have a similar case like the original poster (TexDBoy). I want to move from Boston area to somewhat warmer area.
I have not asked my employer if they would allow me to do this, but my family wants to really move out of Boston (too cold and tough winters). While, i do have a nice job where i see stability (I have been in the company since 8 years now), I would also like to see if I can get to some good companies in the southern places like Dallas, Austin, Raleigh, Atlanta...
What do you guys think?

My wife graduated in December from an ADN program in the US. She passed her NCLEX last month and has been working as an RN since then. She is working on an EAD based on my 485 application.
I believe a GNM and B'sc (Nursing) will both work in the US (From my reading only 1 state South Dakota exclusively requires BSN), but for foreign qualified nurses in addition to the education they require minimum 1 yr clinical care experience before sitting for the exam. They also will need to be qualified as RN's by their respective state nursing board or counsil in India.
You should post your questions on this forum. It is very informative on various aspects of the Nursing profession

Just get it renewed while you are in US.
Its a one day affair to get your passport renewed(in person). You submit all your docs in the morning and pick it up in the evening.

I submitted an AR-11 (address change) form on 3/13/2008. The LUD changed the next day to 3/14/2008.
However, the LUD changed again yesterday to 3/17/2008. Has anyone had experience with AR-11 and LUD updates. If so, please share if multiple LUD updates are the norm for AR-11 changes....

help me with this guys: My employer applied for an H-1B under the Master's cap, but I've been RFE'd. I think this is cause the job is classified as only requiring a Bachelor's degree. If that is the case, would it be possible to withdraw my application and reapply under the regular cap? Is this a good idea? And am I right that there are tougher requirements for being accepted in the Master's cap than the regular cap?

I am getting ready to apply for my wife's AOS (ROW). She has never used a last name on any legal documents, example birth certificate, passport.
Her H4 visa was processed with "FNU" - family name unknown .. Do I need a last name for filing her I-485? Can she get a GC with only her first name on it?
Or will they process it with FNU as last name...
Should i go to her embassy (Indonesia) and get her passport changed to my last name before applying for her 485? In that event, her H4 visa,passport and birth certificate will not match her passport..
Any thoughts on my situation?

Since all her legal documents- Birth certificate, Passport, DL, Bank Statements have this legal first name only. If she now wants to use your family, last name after getting married, that could also be done. You should really consult your lawyer on this one. Please do not use any advice from this forum as legal or valid.

I have applied for h1 transfer, uscis asking for purchase order.When i check with my employer he told me i have to get into project as soon as possible other wise H1b transfer will be rejected.I have a query? My wife is GC card holder, when she files for me at time of getting her citizenship, will issue occurs due this H1B reject?
